New Years Honours 2014

Penelope Keith D.B.E.

Many congratulations to our President, Dame Penelope Keith. This distinguished honour is not only in recognition of her long and very successful professional career but also for the years of continuous and loyal support that she has given to many charities. The Actors’ Benevolent Fund has benefited greatly from her compassion and vision ever since she was appointed its’ President in 1990. 

The ABF Trustees and Staff would like to record their affectionate gratitude for her unfailing commitment to the Fund.

Windsor Castle Investiture

HM The Queen held an Investiture at Windsor Castle on 7 March 2014. In the historic Waterloo Chamber she invested Penelope Keith with the insignia of a Dame Commander of the British Empire.

Dame Penelope’s family attended with her and shared in this special and momentous occasion.

It may be the case that even if you meet the ABF’s eligibility criteria, we may not be able to offer you any support. If we cannot help you, we will signpost you towards other organisations that might be able to help.
