The Wellbeing Series for Actors and Stage Managers
Working as an actor or stage manager can be rewarding, inspiring and exciting, but it also presents a unique set of challenges. Hectic schedules, auditioning for roles, dealing with rejection and working long or anti-social hours are just some of the things that can all impact your mental and physical health.
The Actors Benevolent Fund and BAPAM are delighted to bring you a series of free webinars with therapist Heather Turkington to help you support your wellbeing.
The series will support you to:
● learn how to spot the signs that you are having a difficult time and may need support
● put in practical techniques and steps to help stay well
● reflect on what your own personal challenges may be. For example, knowing and actioning your boundaries in a professional setting
● know how to find the most appropriate support if you feel you need it
Heather is an experienced therapist who regularly works with performing artists and has been an actor herself. Each session works as a one-off or you can join all six. Best of all, these workshops will be held online, so you can join from the comfort of your own home (and feel free to have your camera on or off as you prefer!).
