Memorial to Ronnie Corbett

HRH The Prince of Wales was represented by Dame Penelope Keith at the service.

On 8 June 2017 the day after the Memorial Service for Ronnie Corbett in Westminster Abbey the Court Circular in The Times reported that The Prince of Wales was represented at the service by the President of the Actors’ Benevolent Fund, Dame Penelope Keith. Being asked to represent Prince Charles was an honour for Dame Penelope and for the ABF. It was also a time to pay tribute to a first-rate comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster. Ronnie Corbett was held in great affection by the ABF. He had been a highly entertaining speaker at an ABF AGM and Barbara Lott, ABF Vice-President, played his mother in a television sitcom “Sorry!”.
