A Celebration of William Shakespeare at Windsor Castle

‘The Actors’ Benevolent Fund invited by the King (our patron) and Queen to celebrate the contribution of William Shakespeare to the life and culture of the UK in the year marking the 400th anniversary of the publication of the First Folio.’

The Actors' Benevolent Fund was immensely honoured to receive a special invitation from The King (our patron) and Queen to attend a Performance and Reception at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening.

This special event was dedicated to celebrating the profound influence of William Shakespeare's works on the literary culture and society of the United Kingdom. It was a memorable evening, celebrating the remarkable contributions of many actors, writers, stage managers, teachers, and dedicated supporters of the theatre community!

During this gathering, we had the opportunity to raise awareness about the Actors' Benevolent Fund and highlight our new Cost-of-Living grant, which has provided crucial support to many actors and stage managers, as well as the critical work for our ongoing, long-term assistance to those in need.

As a charity, we are profoundly grateful to King Charles III for his unwavering support that has been invaluable to our mission and the welfare of those we serve.
